Mega Move Alliance member Comodality Dominicana S.A.S. has recently completed another highly specialised aviation logistics project in the Caribbean.
The team managed the arrival of a chartered Ilyushin IL-76 aircraft carrying a dismantled Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter from Africa, with the final destination being the United Nations in Haiti.
Despite the confidential nature of the operation, Comodality’s scope included:
- Receiving the IL-76 aircraft at Santo Domingo (SDQ)
- Assisting with the offloading of the dismantled helicopter
- Airport handling services
- Providing equipment to support assembly by the flight captain and engineering team
- Customs clearance in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti
- Dispatching the assembled helicopter to Port-au-Prince (PAP)
- Loading the remaining helicopter components into containers
- Bonded transport to Caucedo Port
- Ocean freight to Haiti
- Final delivery and customs clearance of the remaining spare parts
This marks the second helicopter operation completed by Comodality within the past month, further demonstrating their expertise in handling complex, time-critical and high value project cargo throughout the Caribbean region.
Congratulations to Alvaro Muñoz and the entire Comodality team on another impressive project.
